Syncing data process taking too much bandwidth
Acer Chromebook Cb3 431 C539
Because many applications on Chromebooks are run on the cloud, syncing data often takes up a significant amount of bandwidth. Go to Google Drive, select 'settings,' and under 'General' settings select the box that says 'Sync Google Docs, Sheets, Slides & Drawings files to this computer so that you can edit offline.' This will allow programs to be used without having them.

Chromebook may require a hard reboot
Turn your computer off and then disconnect all media devices such as USB drives. Next disconnect the AC power adapter and then remove the battery. Perform a hard reboot by holding down the power button for 7 seconds. Finally, reconnect the AC power adapter and turn the computer on without the battery connected. IF the Chromebook starts up normally you have finished the hard reboot.
Operating system is using too much memory
A computer is only able to run when enough memory is allocated, so if it is all being used at a certain time it could cause a crash to occur. Start by deleting unnecessary files or applications, and end background processes that you are not using in task manager: press ctrl + shift + esc and go to the processes tab. If this does not work, you may want to save all local files on a flash drive or external hard drive and reset the device to factory default by signing out of the chromebook, holding Ctrl + Alt + Shift + R, and selecting restart. When a box appears, select 'reset.'
